The Valley of Utica – Scottish Rite and Ziyara Shriners are combining efforts this Holiday Season for the benefit of the children we both serve. Scottish Rite is the sponsor of the Children’s Dyslexia Center – CNY and the Ziyara Shriners provide full transportation at no cost for children and their parents or guardians in the area, who are patients at a Shriners Hospital for Children.
It currently cost over $5,000.00 to sponsor each student in the Learning Center and an individual patient round trip cost to one of the Shrine Hospitals is in excess of $300.00. The Learning Center served 22 students this past year and Ziyara made over 100 patient round trips. With anticipated rising costs next year, we are asking your support to raise funds for both causes and to assure we can continue offering our services to the wonderful children we serve.
We are sure you are aware that we are holding an All Masonic Holiday Benefit Evening at Harts Hill Inn on December 14, 2012. The evening will include not only fine food and fellowship, but a special show by Comedian Randy Riggle. Mr. Riggle is well known and performs regularly in Las Vegas and throughout the country. His “Nostalgia” show has rave reviews and includes impressions, comedy and music. We are proud that he has agreed to bring his show to Utica in helping us support the local Scottish Rite and Shrine charitable causes.
Enclosed is a flyer on the evening and we hope you will join with us on this great evening for our kids. $15.00 of each ticket will go the charities and the evening will be filled with Masonic Fellowship, fun and brotherhood.
By attending this event you will be supporting this Holiday Celebration for the benefit of our children and help us to continue to provide assistance to those families in our community we serve. 100% of the proceeds from this event will stay locally and be used for our charitable purposes.
We also realize date and schedule conflicts arise and your attendance might not be possible. If such is the case we most sincerely ask-that at this season of thanks and giving -that you would consider a donation for this special cause. Donations can be made in memory of or in honor of someone if you so desire. You may also choose to have your donation be split between the two charities or designated individually for either fund. Please return the reservation form or your contribution no later than December 7, 2012.
We know you have many requests for donations, sponsorships and support, but hope that this Holiday Season you would sincerely consider helping both the Scottish Rite Learning Center and Ziyara Shriners Patient Transportation Fund. What better way to give thanks for what we have than to celebrate the Holiday season with a special gift that will benefit children in these two fine programs.
We hope that we can count on your generosity. If you have any questions or concerns please contact either of us.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of our request.
Fraternally and with Warmest Regards,
Wayne Dale
