With great sadness, we bring news of the passing of R∴W∴ and Ill∴ Brother William L. DuPree on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. He was a 62-year member of the Craft. There will be a Masonic Memorial Service for him onTuesday, December 27 at 11:00 am at DeWitt Community Church, 3600 Erie Boulevard E., across from Shoppingtown Mall. It will be followed by a 33° Salt and Rose Ceremony and the church memorial service.
Brothers who are able are urged to attend. Plan to arrive at the church between 10:30 and 10:45 am.

William Latimer DuPree of DeWitt, NY, died December 21 surrounded by family.
Bill was born in Toledo, Ohio to William L. DuPree, Jr. and Edith Liberton Hoag. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1946 and served in the Army Air Corps as a radio operator stationed at Davis AFB, Alaska. He was a member of the DeWitt Volunteer Fire Department and DeWitt Community Church. He worked for Carrier Corporation for 36 years in tool design. He was active in Shriners, Scottish Rite (33rd Degree) and Free Masons Onondaga Lodge 802, now Memorial Lodge 648. In addition to volunteering, Bill enjoyed golf, bridge, bowling, family visits, summers on Wellesley Island and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ann Hamilton DuPree; sons, Paul (Paula) and James (Patricia); daughters, Elizabeth (Kim Skellie) and Ellen; grandchildren, Connor, Edith, Tyler, Griffin, Jessica, Lauren, Jordan and Nathan; sisters, Barbara Knowles (Ed), Sally Miller (Charles) and Kathryn (Joe Marafito); brother, Stephen (Patricia); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27 at 11 am at DeWitt Community Church. Burial is private in White Chapel Memory Gardens. There are no calling hours.
Contributions may be made to the DeWitt Fire Department or Masonic Medical Research Laboratory in Utica, NY.
