Greetings Sovereign Princes.
On March 9 the Valley will be presenting the 16th Degree along with the video of the 4th Degree. Your Valley puts a lot of work into putting on nice degrees so come on out and support the Valley.
Two things I would like to touch on that mean a lot to me – one is the Hospitaler’s Fund. Please give to this fund if you can. It goes to help our Brothers in need from our Valley. Two is traveling to other Valleys to witness degrees – I have had the pleasure of traveling with Brothers to some other Valleys and it is always a good time. You get to build fellowship with your Valley Brothers but also see degrees put on that you might not normally see. To that end, I would like to offer my services to collect names for possible visitations to other Valleys. Let me know if you are interested and I will get people together to travel.
If any Brother is in need of assistance contact any Valley officer or the office.
God bless you all, Freemasons, our military and this great country.

Lodge
The Officers of the Lodge of Perfection hope you enjoyed the month of February with thoughts of Love and affection for your favorite valentine and are looking forward to the ensuing spring season.
Although there was no Degree work in February the Executive Committee was working hard on a few exciting new programs. The first of which is the Member to Member contact Program. Each Officer of the Valley has been assigned 39 members to contact a couple of times a year just to update information and spread Brotherly Love and Affection. This is especially important for some of our elderly members who do not get out as much, just letting them know they are important to us and still a vital part of Scottish Rite Masonry. The second new program is the
New Member “Black Hat” incentive program, that will replace the free meals incentive program and go into effect on August 1st 2020. IAW the new program a new member can earn a “Black Hat” member’s cap by attending selected Valley Events within a specific length of time from the date they completed their 32˚ Scottish Rite Masonic Journey and by witnessing two additional degrees not witnessed during their Journey by attending degree conferral meetings in the Valley or elsewhere within the NMJ. Members of the current 2019-2020 Richard J. Powell Class who complete their 32˚ Scottish Rite Masonic Journey prior to July 1 st 2020 are eligible for the new Program.
March brings a very busy month for the Valley with the conferral of degrees from each of the 4 bodies. March 21st will be a joint venture with the Valley of Utica at the Masonic Memorial Center conferring the 8th , 18th , and 23rd Degrees we are hoping the event will bring out over 75 Scottish Riter’s. When the LOP conferred the 10th Degree on the 27th of January we had over 50 Masons in attendance. Ensure you come out on the 21st to join in the excitement of our thriving Valley. March will be closed out with a Knights of St. Andrew Program that hopefully will inspire new membership.
In closing, as you can see many new and exciting things are happening in your Valley Make sure you come out and be part of the fun!!

Notes from the Children’s Dyslexia Center CNY
We are so excited that our Celebration GALA is right around the corner. I hope you have your tickets for this fabulous Celebration of our Center, our Children, our Tutors, our Staff, our Families, our Board, our Alumni and All of You!
Randy Riggle and John Sallustio will provide our entertainment and music. The Basket Raffle has some phenomenal baskets which we have had the pleasure of enjoying all of February. Hart’s Hill will, once again, provide us with stellar food and we trust Mother Nature to give us night that all can enjoy.
We look forward to this event every year in hopes that we will have the time to meet so many of you who have been supporting us over the last 15 years (Can you believe it? 15 years).
February started with mild weather and lots of colds and flu’s, but we have persevered and now face the long month of March where there are no school breaks. Everyone begins to show signs of Cabin Fever but we will persevere and look forward to more sunshine and Spring.
On another note, I have a bit of a strange request- I am in need of an updated ‘recording system” for short term at the Center that would allow us to record some of the tutoring sessions for training purposes. If anyone knows of something we could borrow (Remember, I am not a “tech” person) please contact the Center. My Thanks in advance.
Again, I am in hopes that we will see many of you on: March 14 th at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro for our 6 th Annual GALA Celebration and Fundraiser
