Greetings Brethren,
This winter has taken its toll on our Members. At the meeting last month it was announced that several members of the Valley had Passed away. In addition under sickness and distress the Secretary stated that Robert Koegler, John Cooper, and John Curtiss were all struggling with health issues. On a more positive note, It was nice to see the smiling face of our Tiler again. Welcome back Mel Sitts !! Hang in there everybody, Spring will be here soon!
If you are having any health or personal issues that we may be able to assist you with, feel free to contact me at 315-837-4962 or email me at [email protected]

Notes from the Children’s Dyslexia Center CNY
“Central New York” is staying true to form with the weather and the flu we are off to an interesting start with attendance. We have, however, completed the mid-year assessment with all of the children and are in the midst of the parent meetings. This children and tutors are also part of the meeting and get a chance to “show their stuff” as it were.
Nathaniel will have his meeting soon and will be able to show his family the substantial progress he has been making- quite a jump from where he was last year. He is nearing the end of level two and we hope that he will soon be able to move into level three. A great accomplishment from where he began.
I also want to keep you apprised of plans for our Tenth Anniversary Gala and Fund Raiser. The date has been set for March 21st and the place is Hart’s Hill Inn in New Hartford. We have a lot of wonderful things planned with the help of Board Members, parents and staff. We will keep you informed and hope to see many of you there!
I appreciate that you keep us in your thoughts and tell so many people about what you help us to do.

Supreme Council Passport Program Policy
I was asked by several members attending our January 26, 2015 meeting to clarify the requirements for completing the Supreme Council Passport Journey. The realignment of Degrees by Supreme Council has left some members with questions.
I contacted Illustrious David P. Spencer, 33º Active and Deputy for the State of New York requesting clarification. He has replied confirming that the requirement to complete your Passport is to witness all twenty-nine degrees of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction as listed in the Passport Book.
I trust this explanation will clarify the requirements for everyone.
Anyone interested in finding locations where degrees can be witnessed can go online on the Supreme Council website www.supremecouncil33nmj.org where all degrees scheduled to be presented in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction are listed by State and Valley or contact the Valley Secretary’s Office (315) 452-7976 or [email protected] for assistance.
