As I write this I am in hopes that the weather is going to straighten out soon. With only 4 more months left in my first year as Commander In Chief I find the time flying. There has been a lot going on in the Valley with starting to upgrade our costumes to bringing in new members. That is just the start as we have much more coming ahead.
In February we have the following programs scheduled: February 5th -Trustee Meeting at 6:15 pm and Executive Committee at 7:00 pm. February 12th is our Sweetheart Dinner Social at 6:00 pm, Dinner at 6:30 pm and Program at 7:30 pm. We will be giving out our Care Giver awards during the program. This is with our Ladies so come out for some great social time. February 26th, we will have our 6th Degree Conferral. This degree has not been done in the Valley in many years, so it will be a good time to have some Fellowship and get a stamp in your passport.
If there are any other programs that you would like to see in the coming months, would like to participate in Degrees or join an Officer line please let us know. We are always looking for new and exciting programs to do.
I look forward to seeing you in Lodge and hope you have a great month.

Greetings Brethren,
I hope when you are reading this article it is a lot sunnier and warmer than it is when I’m writing this.
If you have not already done so, please make your reservation to attend our Sweetheart Program on Feb 12. Social Hour will be at 6pm with dinner at 6:30. A very informative program will follow dinner.
On Feb 26 the Lodge of Perfection will confer the 6th degree at 7:30pm with refreshments to follow.
Now that winter is here, please take extra care while driving or trying to clear snow.

Greetings Princes,
We are now into our Spring class of Scottish Rite brethren. On Saturday, March 10th , the Council Princes of Jerusalem will be presenting the 16th Degree. This is one of the “historical” degrees, which deal with the closing period of the Babylonian captivity of Israel, the return of the exiles to Jerusalem, and the rebuilding of the Temple. In the 15th and 16th degrees we are taught the important lessons of loyalty to conviction, fidelity to duty and devotion to truth. We hope to see many of our Brothers come out to join us, so we can all continue our education in Masonry
– together.
I hope everyone has had a great start to this still young year, despite one of the coldest starts to the New Year in over 100 years. I hope your hearths and homes, as well as our fraternal gatherings, have helped keep your hearts and minds warm.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
James A. Nelson, 32º

Welcome back brethren!
This month we have the 6th degree scheduled for February 26th , 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Originally this was going to be a live presentation of the degree, however, looking into the degree further and what’s required as far as effects, we have decided that this will be a video degree instead. This will ensure that the greatest experience of this degree will be received by all of those in attendance.
I look forward to seeing you all at the lodge for fellowship and further education in Masonry!

Here we are in the New Year- still battling weather and illness but progressing none-the- less. Not much has happened since you heard from us last except that we are, however, getting ready for another fun GALA celebration and fundraiser on March 10th at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro, NY. Please see the attached flyer for further information!
(One exciting thing- Glenn added a new word to his repertoire- all on his own, using the skills he has been taught at the Center. His tutor tried not to jump out of her chair with excitement when Glenn calmly read the word with no prompting on her part.)
We Are Thankful for You! We hope to see you at the GALA!
