Greetings Sovereign Princes.
First off I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday season, enjoy your time with family and friends. The Valley has its annual Holiday Celebration coming up on December 9th, this is a great time to get together, have some fun and maybe reconnect with old friends or make new ones.
The Valley officers and office work extremely hard to put together our various programs and events but we always welcome suggestions from all of you, contact the office or any Valley officer with any ideas.
IF it is within your means please contribute to The Blue Envelope Appeal.
As a reminder, for the 16th coming up in March we are having two rehearsals, one on January 26th and one on February 23 both at 2:00PM. Contact me if you want a part in the degree.
God bless you all, Freemasons, our military and this great country.

Lodge
Greetings Princes.
Wishing everyone God’s Graces and Blessings as we enter into the Christmas season.
I first want to say thank you to all who have stepped up and assisted in the conferral of the Lodge of Perfection Degrees in November. Brothers working together to confer quality degree work sheds more light in our candidates first impressions of the Scottish Rite. As well as, reflects beautifully on the Valley of Syracuse and the devoted Brotherhood our Great Fraternity is all about.
As we move forward in the holiday season the Lodge of Perfection is working hard on casting and studying the 10th Degree. The Lodge of Perfection Junior Warden, Steve Maddox has accepted the daunting task of casting the parts and is going forth with enthusiasm. The Lodge of Perfection is so lucky to have him as part of our leadership team. Please join in on his efforts and request a part in the Degree. The current schedule of events for the Degree are: January 5th (second rehearsal); January 27th Conferral.
Princes, the Christmas/New Year season can, and should be, one of the most Joyous times of the year. A time for Family, Food, Fellowship and Fun! But it can also be a lonely and sad time for those who are sick, elderly, away from home or for whatever reason needing a little holiday spirit and a Brothers “Touch”. With our ever increasingly busy lives it’s often difficult to reach out. With the holiday season upon us, and perhaps a little more time for reflection, I challenge each of us to reach out to a friend or Brother who you fondly remember and haven’t contacted or heard from in a while. I can guarantee you it will add a little holiday spirit to their day and yea, warm your heart too.
The Officers of the Lodge of Perfection, and our ladies, wish each and every one of you a truly Blessed and Joyous Holiday season.

Notes from the Children’s Dyslexia Center CNY
I am very sorry to have missed Council of Deliberation this year (I was attending a Reading Conference in Charlotte, NC where the temperature was in the 90’s) but I was happy to have Joseph and Alyssa Mittiga representing the Center. We were truly blessed by all of the support received from those attending.
What a busy first month we have had for our 2019-2020 year. Everyone has been settling into the new routines and schedules, with positive results for the most part. We want to thank all who supported us in our ‘last minute’ Book Fair (we had been contacting Barnes and Noble all summer and they finally responded the beginning of October). It was a busy day for the few of
us who could man the tables, but we were happy to share information with many people who came to see us. We are not sure how we did but we do know that every little bit helps.
Along that line we have instituted a ‘point’ system for our families to help with fundraising as part of their responsibility to the Center. We have found it to be quite successful with many families initiating fundraisers for our benefit. We are looking forward to some of the ideas that will be coming along throughout the year.
We continue to be excited about our plans for the Annual Gala Fundraiser, March 14, 2020. This will be a very special celebration with special entertainment, internationally known performer and entertainer, Randy Riggle. If you have had the pleasure of seeing him perform, you already know what a great evening we have to look forward to. We will also have the ever- popular Basket Raffle and our DJ, John Sallustio of Copper City Entertainment.
As always, we invite you to visit us whenever we are open, M-Th afternoons (on the school schedule), from October through May. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have or to set up a visit. If you have a group that would be interested in learning more about Dyslexia and the Center feel free to contact us to arrange a time to connect.
